New Albany quartet Houndsmouth will be joined by Leeds’ Fun Adults and Le Volume Courbe this Thursday at The Shacklewell Arms.
Having just made their debut on cult record label Tough Love (who brought you Becoming Real, the Fair Ohs and Slime) with their moving new single ‘Sap Solid’, the young band hailing from Leeds, wittily named Fun Adults, have already caught a lot of attention with their delicately exciting, layered acoustic sounds.
Houndmouth are young four-piece Matt Myers (guitar/vocals), Katie Toupin (keyboard/vocals), Zak Appleby (bass/vocals) and Shane Cody (drums/vocals) from Louisville, Kentucky. They released their debut, self-titled EP last August. Although newly formed Houndmouth have already opened for the likes of The Lumineers and Dry The River, played SXSW and CMJ and been hand-picked to tour with Drive By Truckers later this year.
