Take Courage Gallery : Perfect Concussion (Watching You Dance) – Opening Saturday 12th May

Take Courage presents the first London exhibition of work by collective project Not Abel. Utilising all available mediums ( painting, sculpture, sound / music, video, photography, performance, recontextualised detritus, etc… ) Not Abel re-evaluate and re-present particular cultural references. They are emphatically a collective project, maintaining an openness to the outside, their work both sucking in and leaking out into the external world, plugging into pre existing networks and spinning new webs of associations – practicing art as cartography of the collective unconscious, conjoining lines of force between ostensibly disparate sources and themes to generate fresh narratives and map occluded connections. APRES SPLASH
Nicky Carvell Solo Show
23rd March – 31st March 2012

“Me and my Boyfriend decided to go Aquasplash as he lives in nearby Watford. It looks O.K from outside, BUT once in, the staff didn’t seem to care, changing rooms were smelly with chewing gum stuck all over the doors and it had disgusting dirty floors. Toilets were ALL overflowing, unflushed with urine on the floor. As most people had just jumped out of the pool to quickly run to the loo they were then walking in this filth and then taking it back to the pool. Read More »

Ward Magazine Exhibition – Launches November 15th, also open on 19th – 20th

Ward Magazine presents a diverse suite of video works on CRT monitors. The exhibition cuts across the idea of the ‘screening’, deliberately sidetracking the use of digital projection. An alternate formation determines the participating objects without thickly underlining a resemblance between them. These videos made by artists at different stages of distribution form a set for the duration that they occupy the space. Read More »
