Official Field Day Takeover Weekend – Friday 24th – Sunday 26th May

We are pleased to reveal the details of this year’s Field Day Take Over Weekend.
As a final warm up to the main event, on Friday 24 May, we will be joined by Wild Nothing DJs, with live performances from VIRALS (Sexbeat/Zoo Music), Dark Bells and new Carpark Records signings Popstrangers, as well as resident DJs Beach Creep.
After the main event on Saturday 25 May, the afterparty heads to the Shacklewell Arms with an intimate show from Charanjit Singh and music into the night from Field Day organisers and Eat Your Own Ears.
To finish, on Sunday 26 May, we host 50 Shades Of Cray, and DJ slots from our friends at Best Fit Recordings, Black Cab Session and Because Label.

This one’s a bit of a departure in some ways for BleeD, but then the opportunity to present a debut UK show for a truly unique artist who has been honing his craft since the freaky times of late 1970′s New York, doesn’t come along every day! We’ve waited a long time to witness Gary, now with a taut live band in tow, in the flesh. If you only go to one ‘happening’ this year, make it this one!

The incredible HOLLYWOOD SINNERS have agreed to take their Spring holiday in Dalston this year! Serial garage rockers Dirty Water Club set the stage for another evening of balls to the wall rock n roll on Saturday 18 May.
Also on the bill are London classic punks The Ricky C Quartet, fiery guitar band The Plastic Pals and new all female band Ano.

Be prepared for a killer garage night at The Shacklewell Arms this Sunday. Aliment coming from the sunny Barcelona will make you sweat with their punchy garage punk tunes. Akin to Jay Reatard, Bad Sports, Audacity, they’ll be performing here after a couple of gigs at The Great Escape festival in Brighton and before the Primavera Sound craziness starts.

Jonathan Toubin brings his world famous New York Night Train Soul Clap and Dance-Off to The Shacklewell Arms on Thursday 23 May. First prize winners will receive a pair of VIP Field Day tickets, with second and third places contestants winning a free Mother Clucker meal for two and tickets to see The 5678s courtesy of Dirty Water Club respectively.
New York Night Train’s Soul Clap and Dance-Off is North America’s most popular 21st Century soul party − by far playing to more people in more places and generating more capital than any of its contemporaries. The concept is simple – all night dancing to the wild original soul 45s of subterranean superstar NYC DJ Mr. Jonathan Toubin and, in the middle, a dance contest judged by a panel of local personalities.

Southampton based artist Tropics- aka Chris Ward – comes to the Shacklewell Arms on Sunday, performing as part of Dalston’s annual music and arts festival, Land Of Kings.
